Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Mazda CX-30- Video

Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2023 Mazda CX-30 and we're gonna be taking a look at and doing an installation on the CURT Class 1 Trailer Hitch Receiver. This is gonna be a 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 inch receiver tube that is going to mount to the rear of your vehicle to allow you to carry different accessories such as bike racks, smaller cargo carriers or maybe even tow a trailer with a ball mount. Speaking of towing a trailer it's going to have nice large safety chain loops to accept various different types of safety chains and it's going to feature a 1/2 inch hitch pin hole to accept a 1/2 inch hitch pin. This does not come with your kit but we do have them available on our website. Now your weight capacities for this hitch are going to be a max tongue weight of 200 pounds and a max gross trailer towing weight of 2000 pounds. more

But before we do that, why don't you check it out and make sure that this is a right hitch for you. So right off the bat, probably my favorite thing about this particular hitch is the fact that it has that larger 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube opening. So the other two hitches available for the CX-30 are the smaller 1-1/4". And this is 2-inch by 2-inch one, much more common size, a lot more accessories are available for it. more

So if it we're me and I was looking for a hitch I'd want one that would look good. You know, I don't want a big bulky hitch kind of hanging down here, taken up a lot of space and kind of sticking out like a sore thumb.
